Entrance Testing

Students applying to Northeast State may submit valid ACT® or SAT® scores, transfer credit in English or Math, or take the ACCUPLACER® assessment and placement test through Northeast State’s Testing Services.

ACT/SAT and ACCUPLACER tests assess a student's current skills. The scores are used to determine the student's placement into Learning Support or College-Level English, Reading, and Math courses. ACCUPLACER is a user-friendly, computer-based test. Computer skills are not required to take the test. Go to www.NortheastState.edu/ACCUPLACER for more information.

All students applying to Northeast State’s Nursing Programs must take the nursing entrance test, the Admission Assessment (A2). The test is offered January – February for the LPN to RN Option and January – June for the Traditional Option.
