TBR (Tennessee Board of Regents) Course Revitalization
TBR Completion Initiative Support Program Grants (formerly Access & Diversity Grants) is designed to assist campuses with funding for programs aimed at increasing success rates for targeted student populations. For the 2014-2015 grant cycle there are 2 different grant opportunities:
- Course Revitalization Initiative – This grant program is administered by the TBR Office of Academic Affairs. Information regarding this program was previously sent to campus Academic Affairs Offices for campus distribution.
- Student Engagement, Retention, and Success Initiative – This grant program is administered by the TBR Office of Effectiveness and Strategic Initiatives.
The TBR Course Revitalization Initiative empowers teams of faculty to impact pivotal and influential courses and create superior pedagogies that will impact student learning at the heart of every program. Northeast State was funded to revitalize MATH 1530 – Probability and Statistics. The revitalized course will be a combination of Math 1530 and learning support math, either through embedded remediation or by the use of a co-requisite mode. Courses will be piloted fall 2014.
