To search for courses held on the Gray Campus, do the following at the Schedule of Classes:

  1. Select the desired term and then continue.
  2. Select Advanced Search at the bottom of the form.
  3. In the Campus field, select Northeast State Gray.

Gray Campus Frequently Asked Questions


Q: What classes do you offer? 

A: Day & evening courses are offered at the Northeast State at Gray campus. The campus offers a variety of courses in liberal arts and continuing education programs.

Q: Is advisement currently available at the campus? 

A: Each student is assigned a faculty advisor based on their major. Students needing academic assistance are encouraged to seek advisement from their assigned advisor. Students may call the Advising Resource Center at 423-323-0214 if they are unsure of their advisor’s name and/or office phone number.

Q: Can I buy books at the campus? 

A: Books for classes taught in Gray are provided through the bookstore on Northeast State’s Blountville campus.

Q: Are Library services available? 

A: The Learning Resource Center is located in G107. It is linked to the Library on the Blountville campus via an automated system and offers access to the online catalog, the Internet, and a variety of full-text databases.

Q: Does the site have open computer lab time scheduled? 

A: Northeast State at Gray provides a designated open computer lab (Learning Resource Center, Room G107) for student use during facility hours. Availability is based on the number of occupants, and all computer labs are open to student use when not occupied by regularly scheduled classes.

Students have access to

  • Internet and Northeast State’s main campus Library resources (online catalog, full-text databases, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office 365 (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Course-specific software as needed (TI-Calculator App for MATH, etc.)
  • Built-in webcams on lab computers, which support proctored testing (e.g., via Respondus Lock Down Browser/Monitor or other approved proctoring tools)

Q: Can I register for classes at the site?

A: Students may register, drop/add classes, review billing information, etc., at the site by using MyNortheast via Northeast State’s home page.

Q: Are student support services available, such as tutors? 

A: Students attending the Gray campus receive the same student support services as those attending the Blountville campus. These services are provided by personnel working onsite and by Northeast State staff from the Blountville campus who visit the site on a regularly scheduled or as-needed basis. Specific dates and times when services are available are posted on campus and on the website.

Q: What are the operating hours of the Gray Campus?

A: Administrative office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Gray campus is open to accommodate early morning and evening courses as scheduled each semester.
