Interactive television (ITV) courses are taught using two-way interactive audio and video (ITV) instruction. Students at other locations participate actively in class discussion and activities. The faculty member can instruct at either site, and the
students can see and communicate with the instructor and other students.
Northeast State broadcasts classes among four campuses: Blountville, Elizabethton, Johnson City, and Kingsport. In addition, courses may be broadcast to an ITV classroom at Johnson County High School.
ITV courses are available to students who meet the admissions requirements for Northeast State. ITV classes provide students with the opportunity to attend classes at a location that is conveniently accessible. Registration, tuition, and fees for ITV courses are the same as traditional
courses. Northeast State’s attendance policy, published in the school catalog and/or course syllabus, applies to all ITV courses.
