iOPTiN

iOPTiN is a program that delivers your required course materials digitally. You will have access to eTextbooks on the first day of classes. Access to an eTextbook will continue if you OPT IN to the eTextbook by going to your MyNortheast account within five (5) days after the start of the class term. If you do not OPT IN to the eTextbook, your access will cease, and you will receive an error message from VitalSource.

During the five-day period, you will need to OPT IN so that your eTextbook charges can be applied to your student account and any available financial aid.  If you do not OPT IN, access to your eTextbook(s) will cease, and you will need to contact the Northeast State Bookstore. Students without available financial aid who wish to OPT IN during the five-day period may be instructed to visit the Bookstore to OPT IN for specific classes.

The last day to OPT IN to eTextbooks will be September 2, 2017 for Full Term, Term 1, and Intersession 1 Fall classes.

Please Note: Students without available financial aid who wish to OPT IN during the five-day period may be instructed to visit the Bookstore to OPT IN for specific classes.

Students without available financial aid on the Elizabethton, Johnson City, and Kingsport campuses may OPT IN and pay for eTextbooks at the Business Office-Cashier located at each of those campuses.

Blountville, Bristol, and Gray students without available financial aid may OPT IN and pay for eTextbooks at the Bookstore on the Blountville campus. A Bookstore representative will be available on the Bristol campus on dates to be determined.
