Cooperative Education enables students to gain actual work experience in a chosen field and to receive both academic credit and potential monetary compensation while doing so. The primary objective is to prepare the student for immediate employment upon graduation.  Students must complete 12 credit hours in their major field and carry a 2.80 overall GPA.  A maximum of 8 credit hours may be earned toward degree requirements (maximums for individual majors may vary).  Credit distribution is as follows: 1 credit/10 hours of work/week/semester;  2 credits/20 hours of work/week/semester; 3 credits/30 hours of work/week/semester; 4 credits/40 hours of work/week/semester.
