Audit teams affirm quality of technical education programs at Northeast State

BLOUNTVILLE – Academic audits conducted by peer institution faculty members have affirmed the quality of the CISCO Networking certificate and the Personal Computer/Network Technology certificate programs at Northeast State Community College.

Audit teams comprised of faculty members from Northeast State’s peer institutions in the Tennessee Board of Regents’ (TBR) system conducted academic audits on the two academic programs in the spring of 2009. The audit teams thoroughly evaluated the programs, met with students, and conducted interviews with faculty and administrators. The two programs met all specified TBR audit standards, and were identified as strong, high quality programs by the audit teams.

The Cisco Networking certificate program prepares individuals for employment in the computer networking industry specializing in local and wide area networks using Cisco networking equipment. The Personal Computer/Network Technology certificate program prepares individuals for employment as computer repair and networking technicians.

The teams were complimentary of the education quality processes developed and employed by the technology programs and faculty to achieve the desired student learning outcomes.
