Course Description:

This course will prepare the student to successfully take and pass the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Private Pilot Written Exam. The course is designed to inform the student about careers and opportunities in general and commercial aviation, learn the basics of flight planning and navigation, and explore the concepts of flight instruments, aviation weather, and airplane performance.

Individuals interested in the aviation field for a career or personal enjoyment.

Class Dates: Tuesdays, April 17 - July 17, 2012 (No class on July 3rd.) 

Course Hours: 6:00 - 9:00 pm 

Location: Blountville Campus

Richard W. Cantley is a retired US Army Master Aviator Instructor. Civilian ratings - Certified Flight Instructor Airplane/Helicopter, Multi-engine Airplane Instrument, Air Transport Pilot Helicopter. Two overseas combat tours; 24,000 flight hours; B.S. University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
