Why do I have to take a COMPASS test? – The COMPASS test is a placement test. If you have not taken an ACT/SAT in the past three years or do not have college-level credit in Composition and/or Math then you must take the test. Also, if you have ACT/SAT scores and they are below a certain level it is recommended you take the test. The test is not timed so students tend to perform better with less pressure.

In order to submit an online request, current students will login to their My.Northeast account to request their transcript. Students who were enrolled prior to Fall 2011, however, will not have access to My.Northeast. Instead, they will need to login to Norstar. Upon clicking the My.Northeast link from the Northeast State homepage, students will see a link for Norstar to the right side of the My.Northeast login box. Students needing access to Norstar must click this link and login on the following page.

All applicants are classified as in-state or out-of-state for fee purposes as part of the admission process.
