The It Gets Better Project's mission is to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth around the world that it gets better, and to create and inspire the changes needed to make it better for them.
The Foundation provides online resources and a blogging platform for youth who are struggling to deal with coming out, family acceptance, bullying and harassment, or faith issues. Through a website called Matthew’s Place, the Foundation is particularly focused on helping youth who live in rural areas who have few in-person resources to which they can turn.
PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization. Made up of parents, families, friends, and allies united with people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT), PFLAG is committed to advancing equality and full societal affirmation of LGBT people through its threefold mission of support, education, and advocacy.
Founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24.

PFLAG Tri-Cities has two main purposes: to provide a support community for all individuals who have a LGBT person in their life and to provide support to LGBT and questioning people. Even if you do not have a LGBT person in your life; you can be an ally. Allies are invited to be part of our mission of making our community safer, affirming, and more inclusive of LGBT or questioning individuals.
Pride Community Center of the Tri-Cities is dedicated to providing a safe space to foster the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of individuals in the LGBT communities of the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas. Our goal is to create positive social change in the region by nurturing a healthy, active, productive, and contributive LGBT community, and establishing a proud visible presence with a central location.
Tennessee Equality Project is a statewide organization dedicated to promote and sustain the equality of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons in the State of Tennessee through the establishment of fair and equitable laws protecting these rights and the elimination of laws that would seek to counter this effort.
Following the risen Christ, and seeking to make the Church a true community of hospitality, the mission of More Light Presbyterians is to work for the full participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people of faith in the life, ministry and witness of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
