Northeast State's Financial Aid Office!
Student financial aid services at Northeast State are based on the
philosophy that no individual should be denied access to education because
of financial need. Various state, federal, and local financial aid
programs are available.
Northeast State's Financial Aid Office provides information
and counseling about:
- Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA ) on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov (paper applications are available in the Financial Aid Office). Bring copies of your most recent federal tax return, W-2 forms, and untaxed income information (and your parents' and/or spouse's if required) to the Financial Aid Office for assistance in checking the
application for accuracy prior to transmission. If you do not have a copy of your 1040 tax return, you can request a copy from the IRS.
- Applying for student loans and determining financial need.
- Exploring options due to changes in financial circumstances.
- Requesting recalculations due to unusual or mitigating circumstances that occur after
you have submitted the financial aid application ( FAFSA).
- Receiving Federal Work-Study or Academic Work Scholarship awards.
- Correcting mistakes on financial aid applications. Bring applicable tax forms with you, corrections will be transmitted electronically.
- Identifying scholarship opportunities.
- Responding promplty to requests for information and documentation
- Responding to questions regarding, award letters, or satisfactory academic progress standards related to receiving
financial aid.
