ECHOES & IMAGES 25
Echoes & Images, Northeast State's student literary magazine, invites submissions of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and visual art.
Prizes will be awarded in each category: $50.00 for 1st place, $35.00 for 2nd place, $25.00 for 3rd place.
The competition is open to current students at Northeast State. All entries must be original and previously unpublished, and contributors must agree that the submitted work may be published by Northeast State in Echoes & Images or other college publications, in print or online. The winning entries may be edited for grammar, punctuation, and other errors prior to publication in the magazine. Students may enter up to three poems, up to three pieces of visual art, one piece of fiction up to 3000 words, and one piece of non-fiction up to 3000 words. Students may enter all four categories.
Fiction, poetry, and non-fiction entries must be submitted through the Echoes & Images website under the appropriate categories, and each piece must be accompanied by an online entry form.
Visual Art entries should be submitted in the Humanities Division Office, H129. Students should include a printed copy of the Visual Art Entry Form with their submissions.
All entries must submitted by December 11, 2014.
Results will be announced early in the spring semester. Visual art entries must be picked up by the end of the spring semester.
* Note: Visual Art Contributors must agree to include the submitted work in the Spring Exhibition of Echoes & Images 25 to be held in the Wayne G. Basler Library Gallery, Main Campus sometime in April, 2015.
