What classes do you offer?
Day and evening courses are offered at the Northeast State at Elizabethton teaching site. The site offers a variety of courses in liberal arts, technical, and continuing education programs.
Is advisement available at the site?
Each student is assigned a faculty advisor based upon his or her major. Advisement services at the Elizabethton site are provided by staff from the main campus at select hours and days each term. Students needing academic assistance are encouraged to seek advisement from their assigned advisor. Students may call 423.323.0229 if they are unsure of their advisor's name and/or office telephone number.
Can I buy books at the site?
Books for classes taught in Elizabethton are provided through the bookstore at Northeast State's main campus (operated by Validis Resources) or online at the Bookstore.
Are Library services available?
The Student Resource Center at the Elizabethton site is linked to the library on the main campus via an automated system and offers access to the online catalog, the Internet, and a variety of full-text databases.
Does the site have open computer lab time scheduled?
All computer labs are available for open student use when not occupied by regularly scheduled classes. In addition, course software, Internet access, including access to Northeast State's main campus Library, is available in the labs. Learning Support and Word software are also available in the Student Research Center.
If I get my parking permit at one Northeast State campus, will it be good at all other Northeast State sites?
All vehicles operated on a Northeast campus by students, faculty, and staff must be registered each academic year with the College. A valid parking hang tag documenting the registration must be prominently displayed when the vehicle is parked on campus. Parking permits may be obtained at Northeast State at Elizabethton's administrative office or through the Campus Police on the main campus. The permits are valid at all Northeast State sites.
Can I register for classes at the site?
Students may register, drop/add classes, review billing information, etc., at the site by using the NORSTAR system via Northeast State's home page, www.NortheastState.edu.
Are student support services available?
Students attending the Elizabethton site are afforded the same student support services as students attending at the main campus. These services are provided by personnel working onsite and also by Northeast State staff from the main campus who visit the site on a regularly scheduled or as-needed basis. Specific dates and times are posted at the site. Additional information may be obtained by visiting the Elizabethton site's administrative office or by contacting Student Support Services for further details.
What are your operating hours of the Elizabethton site?
Administrative office hours when classes are in session are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Between semesters, administrative office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
