COMPLETION COACH - NURSING  (Contingent Upon Grant Funding) 

Assist students in developing an Academic Plan for timely degree completion.  Assist students in accessing resources for academic, financial, and/or personal support.  Collaborate with faculty and student academic support staff on the delivery of RX TN support prescription components.  Assist students with completing Financial Aid SAP Appeals.  Collaborate on individual student success strategies.  Interact with staff from Admissions, Financial Aid, Counseling and Advising Resource Center.  Participate in specialized training; promote visibility of Completion Coach through outreach to students and faculty; and perform other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications – Master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution required.  Current licensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee or licensure eligible required.   

Preferred Qualifications - Ability to communicate and work effectively with the college faculty, staff, students, general public, program advisory committees and other health care professionals.  Professional practice in a health care facility.  Teaching experience in nursing education; previous counseling or case management experience; and demonstrated understanding of the comprehensive community college philosophy.  Proficient in the Microsoft Office system. 

Salary range:  Minimum – $41,500; Mid-Point – $49,500; Maximum - $57,500.  Salary is determined by the college president based on related experience and education.

Provide overall leadership, management and supervision of all aspects of the operational functions of the Elizabethton site.  Provide immediate supervision and leadership for faculty, adjunct faculty and staff and provide general oversight of the academic programs.  Work as directed by the dean of Off Campus Programs and Services to assess needs, generate plans and provide credit and non-credit programs, academic services, seminars, conferences and other support services.  Assist with the development of strategic plans for site use.  Develop and recommend annual budgets and monitor assigned budget and accounts expenditures for site operations.  In all duties assigned, show commitment to outstanding customer service. 

Minimum Qualifications:  Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required.  Two years management experience in an educational, business, or office setting.  Ability to communicate effectively in English in both oral and written forms.  Be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb and descend stairs.

ASSOCIATE REGISTRAR  

Assist the Registrar with the organization and administration of records, registration, transcript evaluations and graduation functions in order to provide maximum service to students while ensuring efficient and effective work flow.  Maintain and update the course catalog and schedules in Banner along with term dates, registration dates and course codes.  Provide back-up for orientation, records and registration services, including registering students, issuing transcripts, answering phones, scanning, reporting grades and working special events.  Provide FERPA, advising, Banner and other training to faculty and staff.  Prepare enrollment related data and reports.  Some travel required. 

Minimum Qualifications:   Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required; master’s degree preferred.  Three years of responsible work experience in higher education or records management required.  Extensive knowledge of data-based student records system required. 

Salary range:  Minimum - $31,427; Mid-Point - $39,292; Maximum - $47,147.  Salary is determined by the college president based on related experience and education.

Responsible for compliance with federal and state regulations, managing institutional resources, leading staff, and administering a financial aid process that focuses on the individual needs of the students.  Ensure that all financial aid paperwork is processed according to college procedures for accuracy and maintenance of records.  Work collaboratively with faculty, staff and administrators.  Provide guidance to student population and oversee process whereby staff assists students in securing financial aid and third party funding. 

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required; master’s degree preferred.  Minimum 3-5 years progressive financial aid experience.  Significant administrative experience related to financial aid; excellent management, organizational and communication skills.  Knowledge of current state and federal financial aid legislation and customer service oriented.

Provide assessment, career counseling and referrals for education and career development.  Coordinate workforce development initiatives.  Provide customer service to job seekers and employers through referrals and by partnering with other agencies as appropriate.  Administer customer recruitment strategies.  Assist customers in identifying attainable career goals.  Facilitate workshops that address employment and related competencies as needed.  Maintain a database of customer outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.  Minimum of two years experience in counseling, employment and training services or related area preferred. Higher education experience preferred.  Proficient in computer applications specifically Microsoft Office system preferred.

 Director of Equity and Compliance 

Serves as the Affirmative Action Officer for the college.  Manages departmental budget, provides oversight of recruitment and employment processes related to AA and related documentation.  Manages daily AA issues and documentation.  Advises and coordinates with the president, vice presidents, deans, directors and other college officials concerning affirmative action matters.  Prepares, maintains, and monitors the college’s Affirmative Action plan through annual workforce analysis, availability analysis, utilization analysis, goal and timetable review, problem area identification and policy review and revision.   Investigates and makes recommendations related to the resolution of sexual harassment, discrimination and grievances filed by employees and/or applicants for employment and assists with student complaints.  Serves as the ADA officer for employees and applications for employment.  Serves as Title VI and Title IX officer for the college; coordinates and monitors all activities necessary for compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.  Provides Title IX training for employees and students. 

Develops, maintains, and manages the Policies and Procedures Manual for the College and manages web site for Northeast State Policies and Procedures Manual.  

Manages communications for the college.  Works with the college administration and director of police and safety to develop, manage, and post communications related to critical events and emergencies at the college. 

Salary range:  Minimum $37,950; Mid-Point $47,438; Maximum $57,096. Salary is determined by the president based on related experience and education.  

Minimum Required Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in human resources, public affairs/administration, business administration, communications or related field required.  Minimum of four (4) years related experience in EEO/AA administration required.  Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations, and guidelines related to civil rights enforcement including but not limited to equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment, gender equity, and the Americans with Disabilities Act required.  Demonstrated knowledge of employment policies, procedures, and practices required.  Experience conducting fact finding interview and demonstrated knowledge of investigative methods, procedures and report writing required.  Ability to collect, evaluate data and present findings in oral and written form required.  Ability to maintain confidentiality of information required.  

Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in human resources, public affairs/administration, business administration, communications or related field preferred.  Experience in higher education and experience writing an affirmative action plan preferred.  Ability to effectively arbitrate employee complaints and concerns preferred.
