INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT (Temporary Full-time, 12 month, Pending Approval of Funding)
Assist in training and coordination of activities for the Advanced Technologies division and serve as lab assistant. Assist with the development of policies and procedures for labs. Assist with recordkeeping; evaluate equipment needs and recommend updates as needed. Provide assistance in maintaining lab supplies and resources on campus and at off-campus sites, including high schools. Travel to off-campus sites and high schools required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications – Associate degree in technical related field and demonstrated expertise in welding and other technical related fields required. Proven successful teaching experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of modern welding techniques and practices. Must be proficient in FCAW, GMAW, GTAW and SMAW processes, welding blue prints and pattern development. Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance. Must demonstrate manual dexterity to safely operate welding equipment and the ability to supervise lab exercises in a student environment.
Salary range: Minimum – $28,274; Mid-Point – $35,136; Maximum - $41,998. Salary is determined by the college president based on related experience and education.

TECHNICAL CLERK
Staff the Campus Information Center to provide general information on admission, registration, testing, campus events, etc. to prospective students, campus personnel and members of the Northeast State community. Coordinate campus tours and manage tour guide schedules. Assist in college-wide orientation and registration activities. Schedule high school visits. Receive and solicit department announcements, special event information and others for distribution. Coordinate and execute mass mailings.
Minimum Qualifications – High school diploma required; associate degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office system with emphasis on Excel and Word programs required. Ability to multi-task and maintain a pleasant, professional demeanor at all times required. Experience with Banner student information system preferred.

SECRETARY II - CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Provide administrative and clerical support. Maintain departmental records; compile and organize data for reports. Assist in planning, organizing and executing all events. Maintain departmental website and assist in administration of basic skills assessment instruments and maintain referral resource databases.

Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate required. Associate degree in business or related field preferred. Experience in higher education preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office systems. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with the public in a positive and tactful manner.
