The Office of Health Services provides clinical and informational resources to the academic community on all matters related to health promotion, wellness and primary prevention that encourage lifelong physical and emotional well-being. Health Services works with students, faculty
and staff on health issues and promotes good health practices within the College and community. Health Services provides clinic services, helps students access community health resources, provides health and wellness promotion, and serves on campus committees
related to the health and wellness of the College community.
Northeast State’s Health Services and
ETSU’s College of Nursing have partnered to provide a
Medical Clinic with licensed Nurse Practitioner appointments at Blountville during the 2015 Fall and 2016 Spring semesters. Nurse Practitioner hours are 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Wednesdays and 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm Thursdays.
All registered Northeast State students may schedule appointments with the Medical Clinic. The Medical Clinic is funded entirely by Student Activity Fees. Faculty and staff, as well as students, may utilize the Nursing Consult and Self-Care services. There is no charge for office visits
to Health Services, although there may be a minimal fee for certain laboratory tests, vaccinations or medical supplies.

If you have an emergent issue (e.g., asthma attack, allergic reaction, laceration, burn, acute vomiting, diarrhea, urinary tract infection, fever greater than 102 degrees, acute mental health problem or
sexual violence) ask to see the nurse immediately.
Emergencies are handled in order of seriousness of the presenting problem, but the staff is adept at handling serious issues and will work quickly to assess your problem and provide appropriate treatment. If you have a medical emergency and Health Services is closed, please call
Northeast State Police Department at 423.677.7927 (emergency cell) or 911.
