Interactive Television

 (ITV) Courses

Interactive television (ITV) courses are taught using two-way interactive audio and video (ITV) instruction. Students at other off-campus locations participate actively in class discussion and activities. The faculty member can instruct at either site and the students can see and communicate with the instructor and other students. Northeast State broadcasts classes from the Distance Education classroom (L114) on the main campus in Blountville to teaching sites in Bristol, Elizabethton, Gray, and Kingsport and to distance education ITV classrooms in Mountain City and Erwin.

ITV courses are available to students who meet the admissions requirements for Northeast State. ITV classes provide students with the opportunity to attend classes at an off-campus site that is conveniently accessible. The registration, tuition and fees for ITV courses are the same as traditional courses. Northeast State’s attendance policy, published in the school catalog and/or course syllabus, applies to all  ITV courses.
