Computing resources at Northeast State are managed through the office of Information Technology. The purpose of the office of Information Technology is to coordinate planning and provide oversight for the implementation of new technological applications and the maintenance of all voice, video, and data applications including both administrative and academic computing; provide leadership to the departments of Computer Services and Computer Users Support; and provide leadership to the Technology Access Fee Committee and the Technology Planning and Oversight Committee in the development of the institution’s Comprehensive Technology Plan.
The purpose of the Computer Services Department is to provide technical services and training that are accessible and relevant to the needs of the campus community and to maintain a secure environment which ensures the confidentiality and integrity of information resources.
Computer Users Support
The purpose of the Computer Users Support Department is to provide computer hardware and software support and training for faculty and staff, maintain and support computer labs used by students, monitor software usage, and validate licensing agreements.
