This database contains videos of 279 full-length plays and documentaries and will eventually increase to 350. The 141 plays were recorded while performed before a live theatre audience, and the 138 documentaries cover various aspects of theatre. Additional works will be added to the collection in the future to cover a wide range of twentieth century theatre history. Works by well-known playwrights, directors, actors, and acting companies are represented in Broadway and off-Broadway productions for each decade from the 1930s through the 1990s.
