Student Success Synergy is an on-going effort designed to remove barriers to student success at Northeast State. With the assistance of Achieving the Dream™ (ATD), a non-profit educational reform movement, the College identified critical populations for impact during a campus-wide Student Success Summit on January 7, 2019. Northeast State is working within the ATD framework to develop and improve best practices to help these underserved populations.
Creating Student Success Synergy necessitates integration of the ATD, Quality Enhancement (QEP), and Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plans with the College’s renewed commitment to provide clear and timely communications to students across all populations. This collaborative approach is designed to produce multiple positive outcomes. Centralization of the development of these positive outcomes is essential to increase student success at the College.
The Student Success Synergy action plan dovetails with Northeast State’s accreditation process. Accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) assures a rigorous continuous improvement process that ensures excellence in all programs and services. This effort will work in concert with the accreditation process to highlight the College’s accomplishments while also identifying areas of improvement to serve its students.
