The purpose of the Health Profession Division is to provide instruction in Cardiovascular Technology - Invasive Option, Cardiovascular Technology - Non-Invasive Option, Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technology,
Advanced Emergency Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing
, Paramedic, and Surgical Technology, which prepares students to function in the role of a specialized healthcare provider. Completion of these programs enables the student to take certification and/or licensure examinations required in these healthcare fields.

To meet the growing need for healthcare professionals, Northeast State’s Health Professions Division offers an associate of applied science degree in Dental Assisting. The division also offers the associate of applied science degree in Cardiovascular Technology, with Invasive and Non-Invasive options, Medical Laboratory Technology, Paramedic, and Surgical Technology. In addition, students may obtain a technical certificate in either Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), and Paramedic.
