Northeast State encourages all students and employees to report incidents of Sexual Violence. Offices designated as Safe Areas at each campus have the Safe Northeast Safe Area logo prominently displayed.

Emergency assistance when immediate intervention is required may be requested from the Northeast State Police Department directly at 423.677.7927 (emergency cell) or by calling 9-1-1.

Campus Emergency Phones are located at the Blountville, Elizabethton, and Johnson City campuses. At Blountville, parking lot emergency telephones are located on the North and East sides of campus. At Elizabethton, a parking lot emergency telephone is located at the end of the sidewalk leading into the main parking lot. At Johnson City, emergency telephones are located in or near the stairwells on each floor of the building.

Contact the Northeast State Police Department at 423.323.0255 (non-emergency) or 423.677.7927 (emergency cell) to request a police escort. Campus Police and/or security officers are available to assist students at the Blountville, Elizabethton, Johnson City, and Kingsport campuses. Officers from the Blountville campus will respond to Gray. At the interactive television classroom located in Johnson County High School, Northeast State is dependent upon the Mountain City and Johnson County law enforcement agencies to respond to requests that require an immediate law enforcement presence.
