Below are updates to our student support services and additional resources that may assist you during this modified schedule. This page will be updated regularly as more information becomes available.

Northeast State C.A.R.E.S. assists students and their families with campus and community emergency resources needed to complete their semester.

Library Resources

The Library now offers next-day curbside serviceto checkout and pick up Library materials Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Fill out this form the day before you want to pick up Library item(s), tell us the items you want to checkout, choose the time you would like to come,  and we will meet you at your car in the drop-off circle just outside the atrium on the Blountville campus and give you the item(s).

Library items can be returned to the Library drop box located by the Welcome Center at the entrance to the Blountville campus.

Career & Workforce Development Center

The CWDC staff is available to assist remotely with resumes, cover letters, interview prep, job postings and choosing a major. Email or call 423-354-5229, and a staff member will respond to you with further details.  

Counseling Services

Telecounseling (one-on-one counseling) is available via a secure app.  Students requesting online counseling may email for information.  

Dual Enrollment

Equity and Compliance

Whether victims of sexual violence or other offenses, individuals can receive assistance, resources, information, and community referrals from campus responders. TRiO will be contacting all participants via email and text to begin training them to use zoom tutoring this week.  TRiO will also continue to offer services through text, email, zoom and by phone.

The Learning Center

Wi-Fi Accessibility

For Northeast State students needing a stable internet connection, the College is offering drive-in Wi-Fi accessibility at its Blountville, Kingsport, and Elizabethton campuses.

Students can connect to on-campus Wi-Fi between the hours of 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Friday at the following locations:

Blountville – From parking lot number 3 (in front of the Faculty Building)

Kingsport – From the large parking lot near the Regional Center for Health Professions.

Elizabethton – From the TCAT Elizabethton parking lot. This access is provided by TCAT Elizabethton and will require the student to contact the TCAT information technology department at 423.323.0202 to obtain the guest username and password.

Students may contact the College's information technology department at 423.354.2492 for help logging in to access points.

Students using internet access on-campus must follow guidelines for social distancing as set forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The College recommends giving at least one parking space between vehicles if space is available. Northeast State can accommodate 36 vehicles in the designated Blountville parking lot.

Students must remain in their vehicles while using the Wi-Fi access parking lot. Buildings, restrooms, and vending machines will not be accessible. Wandering, congregating, and loitering will not be permitted.

Also, Northeast State students can access Wi-Fi at any East Tennessee State University campus, or any campus that participates in the Eduroam consortium, by signing up for an Anyroam account.

Eduroam provides guest access through  Northeast State students may follow AnyRoam instructions and connect to ETSU's Eduroam network.

Parking areas where Anyroam Wi-Fi should be available on the main ETSU campus:

  • Between Gilbreath Hall and Burgin-Dossett Hall by parking around the Carillon/Bell Tower
  • Near 902 Maple Street
  • Behind Rogers Stout – all handicap parking
  •  Any building that has parking in close proximity might be available for connection to Eduroam.
