Inclusive Excellence

In 2005 the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) introduced Inclusive Excellence as a methodology for helping colleges address diversity and inclusion.

Northeast State’s commitment to Inclusive Excellence focuses on compositional diversity and campus climate.

By embracing Inclusive Excellence, Northeast State promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout core components of the College:

  • Student access and success
  • Education and scholarship
  • Institutional vitality and viability, and
  • Organizational culture and climate.

The Office of Diversity is committed to work cooperatively with campus and community groups to encourage academic excellence, to strengthen leadership skills, and to enrich cultural awareness. Northeast State is also committed to developing a climate in which racial harmony and cultural diversity are valued, appreciated, and accepted.

Multicultural Center

The Multicultural Center seeks to promote northeast State Community College's commitment of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and overall inclusive excellence practices by broadening multicultural awareness and sensitivity, leadership, and encourages cross-cultural collaborative relationships through recruitment, engagement, and success.
