In 2005 the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) introduced Inclusive Excellence as a methodology for helping colleges address inclusion.
By embracing Inclusive Excellence, Northeast State promotes institutional culture and belonging throughout the College:
The Office of Inclusive Excellence is committed to work cooperatively with campus and community groups to encourage academic excellence, to strengthen leadership skills, and to enrich cultural awareness. Northeast State is also committed to developing a climate in which every person feels valued, appreciated, and accepted.
The Multicultural Center seeks to promote Northeast State Community College's commitment to belonging and overall inclusive excellence practices by broadening multicultural awareness and sensitivity, leadership, and encourages cross-cultural collaborative relationships through recruitment, engagement, and success.
