Marie-Christine Williams - Rwandan Genocide Survivor

Northeast State welcomes Marie-Christine Williams to campus on September 30 as she shares her harrowing story of survival and triumph. In 1994, Williams survived the 100-day bloodbath in Kigali, Rwanda, which took as many as 1 million innocent lives. In November 2014, she published her book "The Darkside of Human Nature."

Williams will speak at 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Northeast State's Blountville campus. Her lectures will be held in Wayne G. Basler Library, Room L226. The presentations are free to attend and open to the public. The college’s International Education program is sponsoring the event.
