Please follow the instructions below to apply for admission at Northeast State and to apply for the dual enrollment grant. If you have questions, please call the High School Programs (HSP) Office at 423.354.5186.

Step 1: Northeast State Application

Go to Northeast State Application to apply using the following steps:

  1. Under First-time Users, select Create an account.
  2. Type in your first name, last name, email address, and birthday, and click Submit.
  3. Save the PIN number; you will use this to log in on the next page. You will then be prompted to set up your application password. Please follow the password specifications listed on the website.
  4. Select Start New Application On The Next Page and then Create Application.
  5. Please provide the appropriate information in the Personal Background section.
  6. In the Planned Course of Study section, please choose the semester that you plan to begin dual enrolling as your admission term. Choose I want to take classes while I’m still in high school as your academic goal; this will code your application as a dual enrollment application.
  7. Please choose Non-Degree Special as your Planned Course of Study in the next box.
  8. On the next page, add your high school information. If you have previously dual-enrolled, include that information on this page as well.
  9. Provide the information requested on the Additional Information page.
  10. After reading the information on the Signature page, please type your full legal name and click Confirm. On the next page, click Submit.
  11. You will then be asked to submit various documents in the application portal.
  12. Click the Dual Enrollment Student Consent Form and fill out this page. We can only speak with the high school and parents/guardians that you list on the Dual Enrollment Student Consent Form.
  13. Next, please click Dual Enrollment Parent Consent & Immunization Health History and provide the contact information for your parent or guardian. They will then receive an email with instructions to complete the Dual Enrollment Parent Consent and Immunization Health History Form.
  14. Finally, please submit your Proof of Citizenship document. This can be a driver’s license, learner’s permit, birth certificate, or state ID. You can either download this document to your computer and upload it, or log into your Northeast State application portal on your phone and upload the picture from your phone.
  15. If you attended a High School Programs orientation session at your high school, you do not need to request your high school transcript. High School Programs will request this for you. All other students need to request that their high school transcripts be sent to High School Programs at HSP@NortheastState.edu.

Step 2: Dual Enrollment Grant Application

Go to CollegeForTN.org to complete your Dual Enrollment Grant Application as follows:

  1. Select the TSAC Student Portal from the menu at the top right of the page
