If you have applied for a position with us or any TBR institution before, you have a profile, so you can press “Sign In” at the top right of the page (use the forgot password option after clicking sign in if you don’t know your password).

If you haven’t applied before, use the “Create Profile” button to create a profile.

Once you have a profile, click on any job opening and select “Apply Now” under the posting title to apply

You need a cover letter and resume for all applications. If the position requires a degree, you must upload your unofficial transcripts (not a copy of your diploma). If you do not include these necessary items in your application, you will be disqualified.

Note: It is a Class A Misdemeanor to misrepresent academic credentials, pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 49-7-133.

Our positions are posted for either 14 or 30 days, with the exception of pool postings. The deadline for each position is listed in the job ad. You must complete and submit your application before that date and time to be considered.

The pay rate or range for each position is listed in the job ad. If it is a range, it is based on the requirements for the position and your education and experience. You can also see our salary grade structure here. Different positions are set at different grades based on responsibilities.

No. We ask questions specific to each position in the application, so no two applications are the same.

We do not contact candidates who are not selected to interview, but you will receive an automated email when the position has closed. If you are selected to interview, you will usually hear from the hiring manager to schedule an interview in the few weeks after the posting deadline. If you interview but are not selected, you will hear from the hiring manager soon after your interview.

This varies a lot, but at minimum, a 14-day posting will take 6-8 weeks, and a 30-day posting will take 8-10 weeks. Steps with approvals can take up some time, but ultimately, how long until the position is filled depends on how attentive you are to the hiring process. How quickly you return the completed rating sheet, schedule interviews, check references, and return interview ratings can affect how long the posting it open.
