How to View Your 1098-T

To view your 1098-T information through your MyNortheast account:

  1. Log into your MyNortheast account
  2. Look to the right side of the page for 'Banner Self-Service'
  3. Click on Student
  4. Click on Student Accounts
  5. Click on Tax Notification
  6. Enter the Tax Year and press Submit

Northeast State Community College is pleased to announce that we have contracted with Educational Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI) to print and mail 1098-T forms. ECSI will also provide our students' 1098-T information in electronic format.  More information is available at  www.ecsi.net/1098T

If you have questions regarding 1098-T forms that were sent to you by ECSI, you can contact ECSI at 1.866.428.1098 or log in to your account at   www.ecsi.net/myacct

Where to Find Your Pin Number 

You will need your school code, account number, and PIN in order to log in. These are printed on the bottom of your 1098-T form. Below is a sample 1098-T form with the area containing your login information highlighted in red.

Retrieve a Copy of Your Tax Documents 

To retrieve a copy of your tax documents, click on Login to My Account  at ESCI's website.

Overview of Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997 

The Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997 (TRA97) introduced several tax incentives on qualifying student loans. The Hope and Lifetime Learning credits provide the ability to take a tax credit for qualifying educational expense. TRA97 also provides a deduction for the interest paid on qualifying student loans. The Student Loan Interest Deduction is reported on an  IRS Form 1098-E . The Hope and Lifetime Learning Credits are reported on an  IRS Form 1098-T .
